In August of 2022, BrainBuffet introduced our brand new notification center!
The notification center allows the BrainBuffet team to send announcements directly to our users! Now you will receive announcements about course updates and other important information right in your BrainBuffet inbox.
But, more importantly, the notification center also allows teachers to send announcements to students in their groups/classrooms! Want to remind your students of a due date or even welcome them to a new semester? Now you can!
How to check My Notifications
1. From anywhere on the BrainBuffet website, check the header for the new notification bell. It looks like this:
2. When you have a notification, a number will appear by the bell, like this:
3. Click the bell to open your inbox. It will look something like this:
Sender
Messages from BrainBuffet will always say BrainBuffet under Sender. Messages from Teachers will always say Teacher under Sender.
Status
Unread messages will say New under Status. Messages you have read will say Read under Status. Messages that you have sent will say Sent.
4. Click on any notification to open it. It will appear underneath your inbox. From there, you will have the option to delete the message.
